Fitness Classes with Wendi Epps, E-RYT 500

Hi there! I'm a fitness professional located in Wilmington, North Carolina. I teach a variety of classes for many different fitness levels and I offer group yoga rates and private yoga sessions. I believe that yoga should be accessible and bring people together while building personal strength, discipline and confidence.
I've been teaching yoga for 8 years. I received my RYT 200 from iThrive Yoga in Parker, CO and my RYT 500 from E.MOTION in Wilmington, NC, and I have over 1,000 teaching hours. Prior to teaching yoga, I taught Zumba for 7 years. I also periodically teach senior group fitness classes.

Yoga for All Levels at Hanover Stables

Whether you are looking to begin practicing, recover from an injury, or add something new to your fitness and wellness routine, yoga is a great way to become more in tune with your body and breath. This all-levels outdoor class builds each sequence slowly, utilizing breath, alignment cues, and mindfulness to find your individual expression of a pose while surrounded by the peacefulness of nature and the beauty of horses. Feel free to bring optional props like straps, blocks and towels, which help practitioners find their way into poses. Grab your mat and join us!

Hanover Stables also offers great programs for kids and opportunities for outdoor private yoga sessions for adults and yoga parties for kids!

Midtown YMCA Classes

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to stop teaching my Tuesday night Basic Yoga class at the Midtown YMCA. I've moved about 45 minutes to an hour away and the commute to and from class has been difficult. I will really miss the wonderful connections I made while teaching at the YMCA of SENC! Please drop by and send me a message whenever you feel the desire to do it! I'd love to hear from you!

Meditate, Breathe & Restore - Online Class

Thursday evenings at 9pm EST / 8pm CST / 7pm MST / 6pm PST

Cost: Free          Upcoming Dates: May 30, June 6, 13, 20, 27

Join me for 15 minutes of meditation and breath techniques. Our goal is to help manage stress, establish a self care routine, and spend some time winding down after a long day. You are welcome to spend the whole time in the pose(s) of your choice or move into the suggested restorative yoga poses.

To join us, simply:

  • Click the 'Register Now' button at the bottom of the page to let me know you are coming. Please provide either your email address or phone number, and Zoom link will be sent via your preferred contact method.

  • Find a quiet place to set up your yoga mat. Find a spot on the floor where you can at least make an L shape with your body to give yourself enough space to spread out.

  • Grab your props:

    • A yoga strap: You can also use a necktie, purse strap, or a non-stretchy strip of fabric.

    • 2 yoga blocks: You can also use thick and heavy books, small firm pillows, or a thick towel that will fold in a tall square. A yoga block is about 9"x6"x4".

    • A yoga bolster: You can roll up 1-2 comfy blankets or 2-3 thick towels. The roll should measure somewhere about 20" long (a little longer than the width of your shoulders) and 10-12" wide.

    • Other things you can bring to make your practice more dreamy include playing relaxing music, using essential oils, turning on soft lighting or candles, or using an eye mask. Feel free to take pauses throughout to do some journaling. Snuggly pets or children are always welcome!

  • 5-10 minutes before class, click the Zoom link and get ready to let go!

Self Care Sunday

Self Care Sunday is 90 minutes of Yin and Restorative yoga postures and tennis ball self massage techniques that will leave you feeling amazing and ready for the week ahead!

UPDATE: I'm currently looking for a place to hold this class that has the some props we can use. Feel free to reach out if you know of anywhere that I should check out.

Private Yoga and Small Group Sessions

Private yoga sessions are a great way to brush up on fundamentals, ask questions, explore modifications tailored to your needs, and gain new depths in poses with hands-on support.  Sessions can be held at the beach, in a local park, in a large backyard, or on a deck or patio.  Small group classes make great team building exercises or a fun afternoon with a group of friends.


One-on-One Private Yoga Training: $60 per hour
Couples Private Yoga Training: $80 per hour
Kids Yoga*: $50 per hour 

*Up to 15 kiddos. Classes with 10+ kids or kids ages under 7 must have at least 1 parent or teacher attending class.
